PARTNERS
The consortium was established taking into account the different areas relevant to the project and the competences of each entity within the consortium, all in order to optimize the results. Given the importance of the objectives to be achieved, this proposal is endorsed by the creation of the partnership that brings together Jacinto, ADAI, Sleeklab and Categoria Funcional, each with different expertise in the areas to be addressed in order to complement each other:

ADAI (Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Aerodinâmica Industrial) – ADAI is a Portuguese National scientific institution that has been developing applied research in the field of forest fires since 1985 with a special focus on improving security of combatants.
It has a central role in the project for its responsibility in the design, research and development of the proposed solutions. Its contribution is related to fire fighting.
Worldwide known for its work of over 30 years on forest fires (FF), it has the largest and best equipped FF research laboratory (LEIF) in Europe. ADAI members have extensive experience in managing national and international projects. ADAI is responsible for fire behavior and fire safety courses at the Portuguese National Fire Department.

Jacinto Marques de Oliveira Sucrs. Lda – Located in the city of Esmoriz, just 25km south of the city of Porto, Jacinto is a family business run since 1954. With an extensive international experience, it specialised on the production of fire fighting systems.
Project's leading promoter, it is a national market leader in the production of forest fire fighting vehicles with an expressive participation in the international market. In this context, the company has developed several projects with international success, including: manufacture of light fire fighting vehicles, urban and forest fire fighting vehicles, urban and forest tactical tank vehicles and airport fire fighting vehicles.
Due to its vast experience in developing fire fighting vehicles, JACINTO has the technical capacity, multidisciplinary human resources and infrastructures for the development, testing, production and promotion of the proposed solution with various entities of the national and international operating system.

Sleeklab – Located in Coimbra, Sleeklab has a dynamic and multidisciplinary team specialised in the design, assembly and operation of devices with DRONE technology for various purposes.
It was founded in 2015 as a result of the research and innovation in the use of drones in various applications, including civil protection and security. It has a team of employees specialised in electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering, which maximizes the potential of their projects.
With essential skills and experience to fulfil the project successfully, their participation will ensure the optimal development of the drone/UAV prototype for fire fighting purposes. Their team have the necessary technical expertise and research work essential for the success of the project, including materials, propulsion systems, sensors and software.

Categoria Funcional is a company created in June 2017, pioneer of the original concept of the project which intends to develop.
With an extensive curriculum in the inventive field, Categoria Funcional has in its team people with several patents registered with the INPI (National Institute of Intellectual Property), including a gold medal in the Inventors Hall held by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Its participation in the project is crucial for the know-how related to the patentability requirements and knowledge for the execution of the planned works and developments.
